Shoppers are rushing to Wilko for bargains after the business announced its administration sale. Signs can be seen in Wilko stores across the UK stating 'Wilko Administration Sale ' and '1000s of reductions throughout the store.'
The Worksop-based business confirmed on Thursday, August 10, that the business was entering administration, a week after it had filed a Notice of Intention. The decision has left 12,000 employees at risk as well as over 400 stores across the UK. Customers can no longer shop on the Wilko website as the home delivery and click and collect options have been suspended. The home and garden retailer has more than a dozen stores across Nottinghamshire, which are expected to be taking part in the sale.
