Wilko has collapsed into administration putting over 12,000 jobs at risk
Retailers have reassured that Wilko staff will not end up jobless as the discount chain collapses into administration.
Wilko had filed a notice of intention to appoint administrators earlier this month. Despite its chief executive claiming the business had 'received offers of help' none have been "able to provide sufficient liquidity." But fellow retailers have jumped in to assure Wilko staff that they won't be left without a job. Writing on LinkedIn, Home Bargains said: "We are saddened to hear of the news about Wilko and are thinking of all the colleagues who are affected.
And, The Works said it would "guarantee an interview if there's a role available" for all Wilko staff.
