Shoppers have also voiced their concern for the future of the high street
"I'm scared for the high street". For many shoppers this is the reality as Wilko recently announced it will go into administration.
So as you can imagine when we first heard the news that Wilko had collapsed into administration it was quite a 'oh c**p' moment. If a huge chain like Wilko can't seem to fight these hard times how on earth are independent shops meant to fight through. I'm scared for the high street. "We have just been in and there is already a taster of things on sale inside. And the high street has already lost lots recently, its shocking."
One shopper, Peter, 67, said: "I think it’s very sad. I’ve used them lots of times over the years but not for big items, but if everyone shopped like me then you can understand why they can’t keep going. It’s sad because it’s a family business.
