Pauline Duddy has been campaigning for tougher sentencing since losing her 21-year-old daughter to drugs
A 'peaceful protest' demanding tougher sentencing for drug dealers is being organised outside a courthouse in Derry by the mother of a 21-year-old who died after taking pregabalin.
Her mother Pauline Duddy has been campaigning for tougher sentences for drug dealers and has now organised a protest due to be held outside the courthouse on Bishop Street in Derry city next week. Pregabalin is a prescription drug used to treat epilepsy and anxiety that has been associated with a number of deaths in the Derry area.
Pauline Duddy has spoken previously to Belfast Live of the pain of losing her daughter, whom she described as the "princess" of the family as the youngest of four children and her campaign to see tougher sentencing for convicted drug dealers.
