Talented young musician Oliver Hobson played at the fan zone before the Aston Villa game
Oliver Hobson, has been playing the guitar since he was six, and is a fan of the likes of Oasis and Fleetwood Mac, and has recently begun to enjoy Jamie Webster and The Beatles too. His dad Danny, 32, is also a keen guitar player, and was surprised to find out who was in the audience at 12-year-old Oliver’s first ‘gig’, at an event organised by events company Angels & Scallies.
Oliver played amazing covers of anthems such as Live Forever by Oasis in the blazing sunshine a stone’s throw from the home of the club he loves. Danny said: “He was absolutely buzzing. It’s his top passion. Obviously he's big on football, big on music, and so it’s like a little dream come true. That's what he was saying when he was getting back in the car today. He said, I feel like I’m living out my dreams.
“So he recorded one of the videos and then sent it over to Jamie. Then he started following them and giving likes on their Instagram, told us to keep the good work and whatnot. [Oliver] was absolutely buzzing with that.” Danny also thanked Oliver’s school, St Edward’s College in West Derby. Danny said the school has been “brilliant” with Oliver, allowing him to perform at its annual concerts.
