The weather forecaster has warned it may cause flooding
The Met Office has issued a yellow thunderstorm warning for parts of Nottinghamshire today . It comes as the UK prepares for a three-day weekend, with many hoping to soak up the last bit of sun this year.
The Met Office predicts the north of the county will be hit with heavy showers and storms. The weather forecaster has also warned of the risk of some localised flooding and disruption as a result of the storms. It said: "Slow-moving heavy showers and thunderstorms may cause some localised flooding and disruption on Saturday afternoon." Thre are currently no further weather warnings issued for the weekend.The Met Office has issued the following guidance on what people can expect in a yellow warning.
