This weekend is set to be a mixed bag of conditions, with some areas seeing worse than others
Two separate yellow weather warnings for heavy showers and thunderstorms are in place on today until Saturday morning. The first begins at 12pm today until this evening and will impact Inverness, while the second covering Edinburgh will begin at 3pm today and end at 9am on Saturday.
Meanwhile, temporary outages could impact WiFi and other electric services. Forecasters predict today will be the driest and brightest in the southeast and a mixture of sunny spells and showers for the rest of the country and cooler temperatures all around. "Some lighter winds mean the showers could be quite slow moving particularly over parts of Scotland and Northeast England. Some heavy, even thundery showers likely during Saturday."
