Roadworks planned this week include carriageway repairs on the M61 to M6 and bridge repairs on the A69
Whilst the summer holidays are still in full swing, you might be planning on some big road trips or taking your family out for the day.
These include resurfacing work, bridge repairs, junction improvements and safety barrier repairs. If planned, all of these routes have diversions in place to ensure you'll still get to your destination, but it's best to check first. We've put together a list of this week's roadworks for Lancashire and Cumbria to ensure you don't get caught out.
Overnight work has been undertaken between 8pm and 6am from Monday to Friday. On Saturday mornings, this will be extended to 7am.National Highways will be undertaking bridge repairs on the Pow Maughan bridge on the A69 near Scotby. This is to strengthen the original stone arch and increase the lifetime of the bridge.
