Footage shows flames ripping through a property in Paisley as firefighters race to the scene on Tannahill Road this evening, an eyewitness said around three fire appliances are in attendance.

In the video footage filmed at 7.03pm this evening, October 3, fire crews can be seen at the rear end of the property as they try to extinguish the blaze - windows can also be heard smashing as flames burst through.READ MORE: Schoolgirl, 14, 'raped' in terrifying Paisley attack at local park An eyewitness told Glasgow Live: "The fire was visible for about two miles, from near Glasgow Airport. As I pulled up you could see the flames were bursting through the back windows - they were quite intense.
"Black smoke was covering the sky, hovering over St Mirren stadium - I could smell burning, it was very visible. I don't know if it was an abandoned house but there were around three fire appliances - it is quite an intense fire, there is no way that house isn't gutted now."The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service has been approached for comment.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "It was reported to us at 7.50pm and officers are in attendance. We don’t have anything further than that at the moment."
