East Belfast has the most employers who have signed up to the Real Living Wage Campaign
East Belfast is leading the way in Northern Ireland's Real Living Wage Campaign as businesses highlight positive impacts.
However, only 84 employers have signed up to the Real Living Wage in NI, the lowest number of any region in the UK, where over 14,000 have joined it. “We are delighted that we will be joined at our celebration event by the Living Wage Foundation and employers Belfast City Council, Community Foundation NI, Bullhouse East and CARD Group Research and Insight who will talk about why signing up as a LW employer is not just good for employees but also makes sense for their businesses.”
He said that joining the Real Living Wage campaign showed his staff how much they are valued within the business and that staff retention has improved greatly as a result of this. It has included the Real Living Wage as part of its pledges in its Belfast Business Partnership scheme, which 30 organisations have joined this year.
