Mum Nicci says her children have been having nightmares and panic attacks after a crash they were lucky to walk away from
A mum claims a horror smash has left her children 'forever traumatised' after a suspected drink driver ploughed into them with such force he knocked the wheels off her Land Rover. Nicci Price says the police 'could not believe' she and her family walked away alive from a 'horrific' crash in Tilford, Surrey.
Police confirmed that a man has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving. Nicci, who also lives in Surrey, said: "It happened so quickly. The driver came towards me frighteningly fast. I thought at the very last minute he's going to hit us fractions of seconds before it happened. I wasn't able to do anything about it - it happened so quick.
"I've done that journey hundreds of times to my dad's house - I've never had a close call. Everybody says we're lucky to be alive. All the police officers can't believe we're alive." "I've had nightmares - I've hardly slept. It's so raw and so real. Your brains goes through a million 'what ifs'. My children have had nightmares, my daughter doesn't want to go in the car, my son has panic attacks every day because he keeps reliving it.
