Chintzia McIntyre was pronounced dead at the scene
Chintzia McIntyre was found seriously injured outside her home on Pheonix Place, Warrington, at around 9.40am on August 29. Police and paramedics attended the scene, however, she was pronounced dead.
Shortly later detectives arrested a 17-year-old boy. Cheshire police have now confirmed that a teenager has been charged with the murder of the 48-year-old.The 17-year-old boy is due in Warrington Magistrates' Court this morning, Thursday, August 31. He cannot be named for legal reasons. Detective Superintendent Jon Betts, of Warrington Local Policing Unit, said: "I would like to reassure residents that this is believed to be an isolated incident and there is no risk to the wider community.
"As part of our ongoing enquiries I would like to hear from anyone who was in the Phoenix Place area between 9.30am and 9.45am and believes they may have witnessed the incident. The same goes for anyone with any video or dashcam footage. Anyone with any information or footage is asked to contact Cheshire Police on 101, quoting IML 1632153 or here."
