Emergency services found a woman had been 'seriously assaulted' and died at the scene
A 17-year-old boy has been arrested after detectives launched a murder investigation following the death of a woman in Warrington on Tuesday morning .
An investigation was launched and a teenage boy, aged 17, has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody to be questioned by detectives. Her next of kin are being supported by officers.Detective Superintendent Jon Betts, of Warrington Local Policing Unit, said: “I would like to reassure residents that this is believed to be an isolated incident and there is no risk to the wider community.
