YOUNG PEOPLE are losing their right to stay in Britain after being placed on the Metropolitan Police’s Gang Matrix, according to a solicitor who challenged the practice.

“It is right that this database is to be overhauled as it was grossly inaccurate and hugely controversial stigmatising people as gang members when they were clearly not. An enquiry from Suleiman as to whether his information was held on the database, took two years to draw a response from the Met, which said they “could neither confirm nor deny” if his information was held.
