The 28-year-old procurement buyer had no symptoms of the condition which affects non-smokers when she informed the cancer had spread to both lungs and her lymph nodes.
A young Scots woman who died just months after a shock cancer diagnosed has been described as "beautiful person" by her devastated loved ones.
Robert said: "She was unknowingly more a support to me, such a beautiful person inside and out. She was so thoughtful and kind. Garry Robertson, Cheryl's older brother issued a heartfelt statement on social media. "Hardest post that I’ve ever to make", he said. "I’m grateful she no longer has to suffer. She was loved by so many people, she was such a happy, loving caring person. Shine bright like the star you are Cheryl."
"My thoughts are with Robert and Cheryl’s family at this sad time. Fly high beautiful, you were one in a million."
