Lucy Nield said the diet plan was essential for her weight loss journey
Lucy Nield, 60, said she had always been a yo-yo dieter and found little success. However, that changed when she tried the Time Restricted Eating diet after signing up for Dr Michael Mosley's The Fast 800 programme.
The first stage of the programme results in a rapid weight loss phase because the body is in a calorie deficit, while the second phase focuses on intermittent fasting. Lucy's husband also managed to lose over two stone due to the healthy new meals she was cooking. "Once you get into the pattern, it becomes a good habit," Lucy asserted. And now in maintaining her new weight, Lucy deems TRE as crucial.
"Most days I can get up and not feel I've got a problem. Exercise is helping and obviously, the more weight I lose, the easier movement is. The worst thing for my hip is to be sedentary, so I think being fitter and lighter has helped," she said. "Also, my sleep has improved significantly. I put it down removing sugar from my diet."
