The man reportedly punched the woman, who is in her 20s, before raping her
A manhunt has been launched after a woman was raped and punched in an alleyway.
CCTV footage in Sheerness, Kent, is being trawled by detectives who are urgently appealing for information. A suspect wearing a dark grey, hooded top attacked the woman at around 1am yesterday in the alleyway between Alma Road and Berridge Road.He is described as white, balding with a heavy build. He was also wearing light grey trousers.
Detective Chief Inspector Neil Kimber said: ‘We are making a number of enquiries and have already seized a significant amount of CCTV and gathered forensic evidence.
