There is an alternative route
A Nottinghamshire road has been closed by Severn Trent. Nottinghamshire County Council's highways teams confirmed an urgent road closure had been put in place due to works being carried out.
Highways officials said repair wastewater pipework was needed "due to a deep excavation". The incident has closed a section of Appleton Street, Warsop, from a point 80 metres northwest of its junction with Meden Avenue for a distance of 40 metres in a north westerly direction. The closure is in place from 9am on Thursday, July 20 Until 4pm on Tuesday, July 25. The county council issued a highways bulletin which stated the work is being carried out By Severn Trent Water, and that it was an "urgent road closure."Highways officials have advised road users to use an alternative route of "Meden Avenue – Sandy Lane – Birkland Avenue – Burns Lane and vice versa".
