Ukrainian forces have reportedly penetrated Russian defences at Robotyne on the southern front line after a strategy reset
Acting Deputy World News EditorUkraine has liberated a key settlement on the front line in the south, the country’s military has announced, in a tentative sign that its“Robotyne has been liberated. Our forces are advancing southeast of Robotyne and south of Mala Tokmachka … despite fierce enemy resistance,” Ukraine’s deputy defence minister Hanna Maliar announced on Monday morning.Robotyne is about six miles south of the frontline town of Orikhiv in the Zaporizhzhia region.
Ukraine said last week that its troops, who began their counteroffensive in early June, had raised the Ukrainian flag in Robotyne but were still under Russian fire.
