Two warrants were executed at addresses across Merseyside

Warrants were executed by officers from the North West Regional Organised Crime Unit and Merseyside Police at two locations on Merseyside on Wednesday, October 25. Joseph Wright, 52, of Stanley Road, Huyton, and James Wright, 37, of Comus Street, Vauxhall, have both been charged with conspiracy to supply class A and B drugs.

James Wright was further charged with possession with intent to supply cannabis and production of cannabis. Both men were remanded in custody to appear at Wirral Magistrates' Court.READ MORE: Seven pictures show one of Liverpool's worst pavement parking hotspots A 34 year-old woman arrested was released under investigation pending further enquiries. The warrants were carried out in relation to Operation Venetic - an international law enforcement operation which saw international law enforcement agencies working together to infiltrate encrypted messaging platform EncroChat.
