A third arrest in 24 hours has been made by police investigating a hijacking which sparked a security alert earlier this year.Two men were arrested earlier on Monday in connection with the investigation into the hijacking, with all three men remaining in custody.In a second update released by the PSNI, detectives say they have arrested a third man under the Terrorism Act.
Detective Inspector Wilson said: “The 41-year-old man has been arrested under the Terrorism Act following searches conducted in the Omagh area today and is currently in custody for questioning. “Information, including CCTV and dash cam footage, can also be provided to police through the Major Incident Public Portal athttps://mipp.police.uk/operation/PSNI23B02-PO1.”A number of people were evacuated from their homes during the security alert in May, when police say three masked men forced their way into a vehicle before forcing its driver to abandon the car outside Omagh police station.
