After a spate of XL Bully dog attacks we asked the public if it's time for them to be banned
Last month, the city was shocked by a spate of XL Bully attacks, with three attacks taking place over just seven days.
One man walking through the Albert Dock quietly explained: "Well I think [the dogs] should be banned because there's no need for them. It's a status symbol with some of these owners." "These dogs can go off at any time even with training... you never know. Families buy the dogs thinking they're going to be sound and they teach the dogs well, but then anything can trigger something in them."
Walking further into the Albert Dock, we came across a woman who was walking a poodle. When asked about her thoughts on XL Bully dogs, from the perspective of a dog owner, she got nervous.
