The latest figures from Public Health England make concerning reading for one area
The latest figures from Public Health England show that the neighbourhood of Park Road in Blackpool saw a 300 per cent increase in cases in the last seven days. The area reported 16 new cases which brings the rate up to 212.5 per 100,000 people.
Chorley South West reported 14 new cases, bringing the rate up by 75 per cent up to 148.1 per 100,000 while 12 new cases were recorded in Clayton-le-Woods, an increase of 100 per cent with a rate of 127 per 100,000.
