All the latest on the roads this Easter Sunday
on Good Friday as motorists headed north for the Easter bank holiday weekend..
Congestion was stretching on the northbound carriageway, causing bank holiday misery for drivers. One lane was shut around 10am. But further delays made travel a misery for thousands. As of 3pm, travel time had reached an hour longer than usual around Preston - stretching back to Chorley and the junction with the M61. Thankfully, Easter Saturday brought less chaos to the roads, but an M6 collision that involved an air ambulance taking casualties to hospital stopped all traffic.
