The Record Sport columnist was mildly amused by the former Hibs gaffer's interviews but on the pitch left so many questions unanswered.
It won’t be for much that happened on the park. There was no direction. I have been watching closely for the past year and a half and I couldn’t see a clear identity in what Hibs were trying to do. Are they an attacking team? Are they a counter-attacking side? What are they trying to do?
It’s alright Johnson coming out and saying that the team has goals in it. We know that, we’ve seen that in domestic and European games. That and also the recruitment. I have great sympathy for those in positions of power at Hibs because there has been a lot of money spent at the club. But there’s now been three transfer windows and I don’t think the team is any better than it was when he first took over. When you have signed that amount of players and had those sums to spend, and it’s a lot of cash in Hibs terms, then you can’t be bottom of the league after three games having come against St Mirren, Motherwell and Livingston, with respect to those three teams.
