premiered on 3 March, one question lingered in everyone’s mind:? The popular Amazon Prime Video series—which is based on Taylor Jenkins Reid’s best-selling novel of the same name—tracks the rise of a '70s rock band that falls apart after its lead singers fall in love. Sound familiar?
As it turns out, the story is loosely based on Stevie Nicks and Lindsay Buckingham’s complex relationship. After watching the show herself, Nicks confirmed the similarities. On Tuesday night, the legendary artist posted her thoughts on, praising the show's ability to weave her life story into something new. “Just finished watching Daisy Jones + the 6 for the 2nd time,” Nicks wrote. “In the beginning, it wasn’t really my story, but Riley seamlessly soon became my story.
Amazon has not confirmed whether or not second season is in the works. The show is based on a single novel, so in order to keep the story going, Prime Video would have to create new material from scratch. Perhaps earning Nick’s stamp of approval can serve as motivation. In the meantime, Reese Witherspoon, who produced the series, thanked Nicks for her review. “Oh my stars, Stevie!
