People are being urged to avoid the area
Dramatic pictures and videos were shared on social media just after 6pm on Friday, August 25, of smoke billowing out from the bus opposite Lime Street Station.
"Emergency Services are in attendance. Please avoid the area & find alternative routes for your journey. Updates to follow." Arriva North West tweeted: "Due to a vehicle fire on Elliott St, Services 7 and 79 will terminate and restart at Brownlow Hill.
