An appeal is underway after a male was seen 'acting suspiciously' and 'behaving inappropriately' near Carlisle city centre.
The incident is reported to have happened in the Aglionby Street and Portland Square areas. Officers were alerted at 2.30pm on Wednesday . The male is described as white with a beard and scruffy long hair. He was wearing a red hoodie and black trousers.Officers now want to trace the male in relation to the incident and have launched an appeal for information.
In a statement issued last night, the force said: "We are appealing for witnesses in relation to reports of a male acting suspiciously and behaving inappropriately near Carlisle city centre. This was reported to have happened in the Aglionby Street and Portland Square areas at about 2.30pm today . "He was described as white, with a beard and scruffy long hair. He was wearing a red hoodie and black trousers. Anyone with information is urged to call police on 101, referring to log 103 of August 23."
