The Met Office has issued weather warnings in Scotland after snow fell across parts of the country overnight.
A flurry of the white stuff fell across Northern and Eastern parts of the country with more predicted tonight as temperatures continue to drop.
A further yellow weather warning for snow and ice in Grampian, Highlands, Tayside and Fife will remain in place through to Sunday, December 11. Temperatures are expected to fall to as low as -10C in some areas this week. The Highlands and Aberdeenshire were hit hardest by the Arctic freeze, with residents in Largue, Aberdeenshire, even reporting lightning.
Pictures taken on Thursday morning show a dog walker wearing a full snow suit as she attempts to wade through the white stuff. Another picture shows a family sledging through the heavy snowfall.
