Smiling son battered mum, 86, to death in vicious attack at Burnley home - then downed cocktail of diazepam, cannabis and Jack Daniels
A cruel son battered his frail mother to death in a drink and drug fuelled attack at the home he hoped to inherit.
As Mrs Begum then spent time with her daughter, Ahmed took a cocktail of diazepam, cannabis and Jack Daniels at the house in Prairie Crescent, Burnley. She returned to the house in the early evening, but that night her son beat her to death in a forceful attack, involving a weapon. The defenceless pensioner was so badly beaten her jaw was broken, her ribs were fractured and she had a large gash to the back of her head. She died on the kitchen floor.
