Frail woman told neighbour son kicked her out of home hours before being found dead, court hears
A frail widow told her neighbour she had been kicked out of her home by her son, hours before she was found dead.
During the trial at Preston Crown Court, Ahmed said he did not see or hear his mum fall. However when he woke in the night to use the bathroom he found her lying in a pool of blood, and called 999 immediately, he said. Mr McEntee said: "We have parents here who were living with a son who tormented and controlled them, who have spoken out, but who simply didn't have enough to go through with it, and so they left and the defendant walked away."
A post mortem concluded they were consistent with being kicked, stamped on and hit with an object. Blood was found on Ahmed's trainers.
