High blood pressure, or hypertension, can lead to various, serious health issues and increase risk of heart attacks, strokes and even heart failure.

Almost two thirds of people across the UK between the ages of 30 and 50 may be living with undiagnosed high blood pressure, according to a charity.

As many as one in three people across the country are now living with the condition, despite it being the single biggest preventable cause of death in the UK. Concerningly, there are also estimated to be as many as 6.5 million people undiagnosed with hypertension. The research carried out by Blood Pressure UK polled 1,000 people during July to ask whether or not they knew their readings.
