Properties around the flat on Altyre Street in Shettleston were evacuated with one parent not even allowed to collect child's medication
Shocked Glasgow locals have told how they were told to "leave their homes immediately" after potentially hazardous substances were found in a flat.
One neighbour told the Record that residents were told to "drop everything and leave" as the scene was quickly locked down. The woman added: "My friend has an autistic son and they were told to leave immediately, even before collecting his medication. One said: "We have just returned from Pakistan but police have told us we can't get into our home. We've been told to go to the leisure club and wait for an update. Police wouldn't tell us what has happened. They just said there has been an incident."
