Rex Orange County singer Alexander O’Connor has been charged with six counts of sexual assault.
on Monday following allegations that he assaulted a woman in the capital on six separate occasions.A provisional trial date has been set for January 3, 2023.
He then allegedly assaulted her four more times on June 2, once in a taxi and three further times at his home in Notting Hill.Representatives for the artist say he is ‘shocked’ by the allegations., a spokesperson said: ‘Alex is shocked by the allegations, which he denies, and looks forward to clearing his name in court.’O’Connor entered the music industry at the age of 16 when he began attending the Brit School, where he studied drumming.
The singer got his big break in 2017 when he featured on Tyler, the Creator’s Grammy-nominated album Flower Boy.He’s also released three of his own studio albums, as well as a live album.
