Royal Blackburn Hospital A&E warning with residents told to stay away unless life threatening symptoms
East Lancashire residents are being told to stay away from Royal Blackburn Hospital's A&E department unless they are experiencing what they believe to be life threatening injuries or illness.
As a result, the Trust has apologised for the "long wait" that a lot of patients currently using the service will be experiencing. In order to combat this and ease the pressures, the Trust are asking that non-life threatening injuries and illness should instead be reported to your GP. A statement said: "We're currently seeing a high demand for our Emergency and Urgent Care services. We apologise for the long wait. If your condition isn't life-threatening, please consider alternative methods of care to at this time."
