The gas supply at Woodlands Manor apartments was shut off due to health and safety concerns
The residents of a Belfast apartment block say they are fearing the winter ahead after having no gas supply for a year.
The apartments in the complex are either privately rented or owned and residents have expressed frustration that they are not able to be guaranteed the very basics. They have said that they feel they have been "left in the dark" regarding work to get the gas supply working again, saying they have received very little communication from CSM NI who they believe are not acting quickly enough to restore the gas.
"It is impossible to heat our apartments, as the electric heaters we have been provided cannot do that, so we are left with damp and condensation problems, and the heaters use so much electricity that I went through all of my savings just trying to keep us warm last year.
