Wasn't happy about not getting their smothered chicken 👀
Pub landlords have hit back at a customer's lengthy complaint after a visit to the Preston eatery that included them saying they were told they couldn't have a particular meal 'because it was in the freezer'.
One recent customer wrote: "Had dinner here while staying in the Premier Inn next door. What a great meal! Clean plates all round. Lovely surrounds with pleasant staff that could not do enough for you. Not cheap but where is these days. If I lived locally I would be back 3 times a week." However, there is one guest who has made some serious claims against the staff and the food served at the pub. In a review of the pub, the guest prefaced the post by stating that had visited the eatery "on numerous occasions" and "always had a good meal". They said this visit "was the worst on record".
"My friend and I settled for the Sea Bass with Scallops, which we have had before and thoroughly enjoyed, her hubby had the Mixed Grill and mine the Cajun Chicken Burger. Sadly the Sea Bass ensemble was a disappointment. We both commented on the scallops which were under cooked, the pea and rice the fish sat on was clumpy, not fluffy as it usually is, but to be fair it had flavour. My hubby left most of his burger as the chicken was stringy and unpalatable.
"Apologies for the missive. Dave and his team may welcome you into the establishment - after that it's anyone's guess as to the speed/level of service. P.s. yes, we could have complained. However, we had waited so long for everything we didn't have the energy to engage in making one."
