Very sad to see it go
The much-loved 'Cookie Jar' café on Golden Hill Lane in Leyland shut up shop for the last time on Monday . The owner of the café, praised for its delicious sandwiches and cakes, said the business would be shifting online.

From the 1st November we are taking The Cookie Jar on-line. We will have a brand new base and brand new phone number so you still be able to enjoy our afternoon teas which are going to be available for collection or delivery.
"We can still offer outside catering for all your catering needs including corporate lunches, dessert tables, graze tables, boards and boxes." The news was greeted with a range of reactions from customers.
