Mohamed Salah is still subject to intense transfer speculation after Liverpool turned down a £150m offer
Paul Merson has told Liverpool they should cash in on Mohamed Salah and use the money to sign Arsenal's Bukayo Saka.
The proposal was understood to be £100m up front with add-ons taking the fee up to £150m, though Salah's value remains too high, especially with little to no time afforded to sign a replacement. The answer is still expected to be an immediate no, but beyond the turn of the year it would be a valid question as to what do the Reds do. Salah enters the final year of his current contract next summer with no suggestion of talks of a new one having taken place at this stage.
Speaking on Sky Sports' Soccer Saturday on September 2, the former Arsenal midfielder said: "Do they sell him for £200m and then in January see if they can get Saka from Arsenal for £150m?
