Not just the best in Notts but the best across the country
A Nottinghamshire pub has triumphed at the Great British Pub Awards winning the crown 'Best for Families'. Six pubs from Manchester down to Devon were finalists but the prize went to The Plough in Normanton-on-the-Wolds.
The Plough, part of the Secret Pub Company, is run by David Hage and Mark Osborne, the dynamic duo who also own the award-winning Railway in Lowdham and The Radcliffe in Radcliffe-on-Trent. Earlier this year they took over The Lambley, another village pub that ticked all the boxes.Families of all ages are made to feel at home at all four pubs. During the school holidays they ran a 'kids eat free' offer and every Friday one lucky parent won a £50 food and drink voucher.
Co-owner Mark said: "We’re so chuffed with the first award for The Plough." Fans of the pub rushed to congratulate them.
