The week-long campaign begins on September 1, and the council is encouraging people to explore their passions and embrace the concept of lifelong learning.

As the countdown begins to Adult Learners’ Week 2023 in North Lanarkshire, the spotlight is firmly set on supporting personal growth and encouraging learning opportunities for all.

Councillor Angela Campbell, the council’s Convener of Education, Children and Families, said: “Education has no barriers and we are excited by the opportunities Adult Learners’ Week offers to our communities.Get all the news from your area – as well as features, entertainment, sport and the latest on Lanarkshire’s recovery from the coronavirus pandemic – straight to your fingertips, 24/7.

“Throughout the week, a number of engaging taster sessions will be hosted at various locations across North Lanarkshire. These sessions will give participants the chance to sample a diverse range of subjects and disciplines and encourage further interest and exploration. One of the highlights of the week will be the sharing of inspiring stories from individuals who have embarked on adult learning and experienced life-changing transformations.
