McDowell has recently been the focus of criticism concerning his decision to sign up to the controversial new Saudi Arabia backed golf tour.

Dividends paid out at the golf promotions firm owned by LIV tour’s Graeme McDowell last year tumbled to $475,000 compared to $2.1million the previous year.

The total distributed in 2021 and 2020 follow dividend payouts of $1.42m in 2019 and $2.87m in 2018 – a total of $6.86m paid out over the four years.Accumulated profits at the company last year increased by $126,631 from $15.13m to $15.25m. Upon joining the 43-year-old Portrush man said: “It’s financially a great opportunity for me and my family. It’s about being sick of finishing 150th in the FedEx and banging my head against the wall on the PGA Tour.

Bicycle Injuries Associated With Drug Use in the United States, 2019–2020Bicycle Injuries Associated With Drug Use in the United States, 2019–2020Objective: The purpose of this study was to analyze the descriptive epidemiology of bicycle-related injuries associated with substances of abuse other than alcohol and to examine types of drugs involved and injury diagnoses. Method: We used data from the 2019–2020 National Electronic Injury Surveillance System (NEISS) among persons seeking treatment in emergency departments in the United States. Results: There were 11,314 bicycle injuries related to drug use. The most common drug reported was methamphetamine, followed by marijuana and opioids. The majority of injuries were fractures or internal organ injuries. Alcohol was involved in 22.3% of these incidents, and 32.3% of those injured were admitted to the hospital. Conclusions: Drug-related bicycle injuries are a significant public health issue. Prevention and control of these injuries is needed, but will likely prove to be difficult because of the variety of circumstances involved but will be aided by the expansion of quality surveillance data and further research examining the circumstances surrounding the injuries.
