As well as our usual political fact checking, we’ve also been looking into claims made online and in the media. We’re still seeing Covid misinformation spreading. Like this false claim that more are dying from the virus this year than in 2020 or 2021.

This article will only consider the English data, which gives a misleading view of the progress of the pandemic for two reasons.relatively few deaths in 2020 and 2021.
