It comes as an expert has said some major providers are “exploiting vulnerable households” amid the cost of living crisis

Nearly half of Glaswegians feel 'ripped off' by their broadband provider, according to a recent survey.

The research was conducted by Glasgow-based internet service provider Brillband, who are set to launch this month and comes as people are seeing their bills rise.Broadband rates this year have been driven by as much as 11 per cent having been driven by inflation with popular providers such as BT, Plusnet and Vodafone charging premiums to customers who wish to leave their contracts early.

He said: “For too long, the major broadband players have overcharged and underserved their customers, driven by an agenda based solely on greed.
