The air traffic control failure on Monday means terminals are expected to be busy today
Manchester Airport is preparing for a busy day in the aftermath of chaos caused by the air traffic control glitch. Passengers are being warned to expect busy terminals than usual today as airlines deal with a backlog caused by Monday's NATS air traffic issue.
In a statement issued this morning, passengers are being urged to check the latest on their flights before they arrive at Manchester Airport. A spokesperson for Manchester Airport said: "Following yesterday's nationwide technical issue that affected air traffic control, there continues to be some delays and cancellations."Please check the status of your flight with your airline before travelling to the airport.
Arrivals to Manchester Airport are also affected, with a number of cancellations and delays reported so far this morning. The issue is affecting other UK airports too - with 32 departures and 31 arrivals cancelled at Heathrow this morning.
