Airport bosses shared the news on social media this week
In a statement on X, formerly known as Twitter, airport bosses said many travellers would have their photo taken while going through security, and again before the flight departs.
On its website, the airport said the "technology used for customers on flights to UK or Republic of Ireland destinations has been upgraded". It added: "These measures have been implemented in accordance with the guidelines set by the UK Border Force to ensure the security of UK immigration controls.
