A teen has been arrested after a man was 'stabbed' near a city soup kitchen.
Emergency services were dispatched to Argyle Street on Saturday evening after receiving reports of an assault.Reports on social media claim that the incident occurred near a queue for a kitchen which operates in the city centre.The force confirmed that they had attended and that the man was taken to hospital, where he remains in a serious yet stable condition.
An 18-year-old man has been charged in connection with the alleged incident and is expected in court on Monday.spokesperson said: “We were called around 8.40pm on Saturday, November 19, to a report of a serious assault in Argyle Street, Glasgow. "A 22-year-old man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment where his condition is described as serious but stable.
"An 18-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident and is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday, November 21.
