Police believe the incident was targeted
Police were called at 12.55pm on Monday, August 21, to reports a man in a dark coloured vehicle had pulled up outside a house on Kingsway in Prescot. The man then approached the house and used a weapon, reported to be a handgun, to smash a window.
He then shouted inside at the people inside the house. There is no suggestion the gun was fired and nobody was injured during the incident.The man then got back into the car and drove off in the direction of Whiston Hospital. CCTV and witness enquiries have been carried out in the local area and an investigation is ongoing. Police said they believe the incident was targeted.
Knowsley community policing Chief Inspector Chris Ruane said: “We are carrying out a number of lines of enquiry to establish what has taken place and would ask anyone who was in the area of Kingsway at around 12.55pm yesterday who saw or heard anything or has any information which could assist our investigation to contact us as a matter of urgency.”
