Police and paramedics scrambled to Union Street after midnight on Tuesday after a 33-year-old man fell from a bus. He was raced to hospital for treatment and is said to be in a serious condition.

Officers are reviewing CCTV footage for any additional information and are appealing to anyone who was in the area around the time of the incident to contact them. Sergeant Paul Nellis said: “We are in the process of establishing what happened and I would ask any motorists and members of the public who have yet to speak to us to get in touch with us.
"If anyone has dash cam footage, please check it as it could have captured images that could assist our investigation.” Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 0016 of Tuesday, 5 September, 2023.
