A man had collapsed in the store and was attended to by the North West Ambulance Service.The man, in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A spokesperson for police said: “We are aware that there are some rumours circulating about an incident that has happened at Deepdale Retail Park and we wanted to clarify things so that there is no panic. “We hope that this clarifies what’s gone on and we would ask that people don’t speculate or make ill-informed statements that could cause worry.”Leader of Preston City Council councillor Matthew Brown posted a tribute on his Twitter account to the man involved.
